I bought this to review for the Principal 068 TEXES exam, just in case there were any legal/law questions on the exam. I did not need this for the exam at all, but I still found it to be a great resource. I like that it covers the laws and goes into depth about the how and why some have come to be the way that they are here in TX.
this was the text for my educational law class. you would think a text such as this would be dry and boring, but FALSE! interesting and well written for a student studying the content area. i learned so much reading this book.
I bought this book for a graduate law class, and it is wonderful! It provides a very clear, detailed analysis of Texas court cases pertaining to education on a wide variety of issues from prayer in schools to dress codes to discipline. We read the book cover to cover, but I feel this is more of an easy reference guide Out of all of the books I purchased for grad school, this will be the most valuable and helpful for when I become a principal.
Not the most exciting read, but very informative. Every parent in Texas should take an interest.
